Pantone Colour Of The Year 2021
24-02-2021Two independent colours, one united message, this year’s Pantone Colour for 2021 is Pantone 17-5104 Ultimate Gray + Pantone 13-0647 llluminating!
For over 20 years, the Pantone Colour of the Year has influenced product development and design in multiple industries such as fashion, interior design and graphic design. Pantone say that this year’s colour of the year is a “marriage of colour conveying a message of strength and hopefulness that is both enduring and uplifting” [1]
The yellow and grey colours are both strong and optimistic and the enduring grey complements the vibrant yellow. Both yellow and grey are natural colours that express positivity, something that we all need for 2021.
It appears though we were clearly ahead of the trend with our design and refurbishment project for West London Waste. The project involved an open plan office, collaboration points, meeting rooms and breakout areas.
The grey and yellow colour scheme is incorporated in the upholstered fabrics for a smart and contemporary design. The teapoint was a key feature of the space so we fitted light grey kitchen units with integrated appliances and a bespoke honeycomb style printed glass splashback.
The Pantone Ultimate Gray and Pantone Illuminating complement each other very well and is the perfect colour choice for 2021.
