The Brief

Spirent is the leading international provider of testing, assurance, analytics, and security solutions. The client’s previous office was split across two floors which made the team feel disjointed, so their new modern Head Office based in Crawley needed to encourage collaboration and productivity. The client wanted the new office space to have a boutique feel and a focus on texture and opulence to complement an open plan layout.

What we did

Throughout the design, colours and textures were a focal point, especially blue and gold accents in the wallpaper and soft furnishings. As you enter the office, there is a striking ochre coloured sofa, unique graduated timber fin wall with feature carpet and shaggy rug and a bespoke back lit desk with metal logo signage on the wall.

The kitchen is a generously large space with highly decorative wallpaper and flooring. The lavish Quartz worktops incorporates an island bar with stools whilst the tea point has a boiling and chilled tap and glittery glass splash back. We also selected a variety of lounge sofa seating and tables with fully upholstered tub chairs and warm lighting to create a relaxed space separate from the rest of the office.

In the meeting rooms and boardroom, we included a large table with workday chairs and highback swivel chairs for ergonomic comfort and style. The storage facilities including Storagewalls and freestanding cupboards were designed for maximum capacity in mind. Equally, we selected a mix of Myriad and electric sit/stand desks to provide a variety of working options including a colourful meeting booth for private group discussions. Lastly, another unique aspect of the design is the highly decorative toilet and showers that add the final luxurious element to overall design concept.

As part of the design process for Spirent, we created many photorealistic visualisations to allow the client to see exactly how their final office space would look.  To find out more about this process and see the visualisations, please read our blog here, which includes a short video.
