The Brief

The Caravan and Motorhome Club was founded in 1907 and is renowned for helping caravanners, motorhomers, campervanners and campers find holiday locations at over 2,700 campsites across the UK and Europe.

The Club was looking to reduce their Head Office from two buildings to one, at their existing site in East Grinstead. They were keen for the office space to reflect the changes in pattern of employee attendance Post-Covid19 and the impact it would have on their working practices.

Consultancy

The consultancy process began with frequent meetings and workshops with the key members of the Management Team. The Management Team then consulted with their departments to ensure transparency with their staff throughout the process.

The needs of the business and staff, identified in these meetings, were interpreted in the layouts produced by our Design Team, giving us a firm foundation for a new workplace interior that would meet the Club’s needs on all levels.

Design

The key factor and central to the scheme, was to enable staff to select the appropriate area for specific tasks. We created slick, casual environments, for meetings and ‘huddles’ with colleagues and management, through a combination of soft, modern seating.

Light, minimalist space division was designed to create an open feel with ‘privacy’;  the beauty of the system we chose is the flexibility to adapt the overall look by changing the combination when needed, with ornaments, planteria and solid blocks.

Desking was incorporated, for those wanting to focus on individual tasks, teamed with elegant glass meeting rooms and collaborative ‘cool’ enclosed pods, for private meetings.

The breakout spaces generate energy with a nod to relaxation; a place to reignite relationships and have those spontaneous conversations, that had been missing throughout the ‘work-from-home’ period.

Finishing Touches

To compliment the biophilic detailing within the project we introduced vinyl wall graphics, depicting scenes of nature relating to some of their own campsites, with real plants throughout the space. We felt that this would also be a fantastic place to display the warmth and positivity from the Club’s customer reviews.

The new workplace is the perfect blend of an agile and collaborative workspace, while embracing the flexibility of working from home and our client is delighted!

Project Manager, Matthew Henderson, managed the workstreams and procurement of materials and furniture efficiently, in fact the works were completed ahead of schedule. I would have no hesitation in recommending Office Profile and Matthew for projects in the future.

Tony Noakes, Principal Development Manager

Thank you for your patience and hard work in delivering East Grinstead House's wonderful refurbishment. I know the early stages were somewhat painful but you professionally and patiently worked with us and I know we are all delighted with the results.
