SMSTS Training For Project Managers

28-03-2022

As part of our commitment to Health and Safety, our Project Managers have completed the Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS). This provides Project Managers, Site Managers and Supervisors with the knowledge and skills to enable them to ensure healthy and safe conditions for construction site employees. The course involves a thorough programme of practical and immersive guidance with a focus on construction, unlike any other course. The CITB Construction Skills Site Safety Plus SMSTS training scheme was devised to specifically for Site Managers and Project Managers in order to develop their knowledge and awareness of their legal and social responsibilities in respect of health and safety on construction sites.

It covers all relevant legislation affecting safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries. It highlights the need for risk assessment in the workplace, the implementation of the necessary control measures and adequate communication to sustain a health and safety culture within the workforce.

As a result of the course, our Project Managers can:

  • implement all health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation affecting daily work
  • implement new guidance and industry best practice
  • state duties and responsibilities with regards to health, safety, welfare and the environment

We have every confidence that this will help our Project Managers to ensure everything runs smoothly on site.
