The Brief
Rohde and Schwarz are an international technology company who specialise in developing, manufacturing and marketing electronic goods for the communications, information and security sector. The client wanted to break away from their traditional and restricted office layout into a modern and versatile space, similar to their modern Head Office in Munich. Office Profile were commissioned to create a space that included an open plan design with small workstations, a teapoint and breakout area, multiple offices, meeting room and benches for the technical department. We were excited to work with the client again after successfully redesigning their main breakout space on the ground floor.
What we did
The project involved an obstacle of refurbishing the existing space whilst staff were still present. Consequently, we carried out the project in 3 phases to allow staff to relocate within a working area so the business could continue with minimal disruption. We incorporated the requirement of an open plan layout whilst providing multiple offices by fitting glass and solid partitions to create light and fluidity between space. Chic LED downlights, dropped feature ceiling with suspended acoustic ceilings, panels and pendant lighting allowed a warm, contemporary feel and complemented the sleek carpet and vinyl flooring design. The accents of blue in the white banquette seating incorporated brand colours and added continuity through the office design and graphics. The teapoint unit, glass splashbacks and appliances along with the bespoke joinery planter with banquette and bar combined were key focal points that are stylish and easily accessible. Lastly, we fitted durable roller blinds and Storagewall for a diverse and practical workspace. We are proud to have successfully delivered a creative and inspiring space for a global organisation.
